What with all the #ReadersRides popping up here, why not? In fact, all three of these cars are FWD. But I only own one of them. The caravan's not ours.

I probably don't need to blank the plate, but these aren't new images. You can read !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , should you be vaguely interested. Please redirect all "Puto" jokes to someone who understands them.

"The stand-out fact about the Grande Punto's styling is that Giorgetto Giugiaro himself styled it to look like a Maserati 3200GT, which, in essence, makes it basically the same car. In my mind."

Is it that trouble-prone? :P

Peugeot 406! Now there's a car I like. Some say I'm biased.

When we got it 10 years ago, my dad took me out onto a dual carriageway with it for a "test". It was the first time I'd been in a car going 100mph! Stupid white Hyundai or Kia halted our progress...

He loves it in corners - mind you his direct comparison points are a Nissan Serena and a Ford Galaxy - but over time the 2.0 engine has become well past best. Doesn't rev past 5000rpm or so any more, when the redline's 7.

If anything my Maserati 3200GT has been surprisingly dependable! It's never broken down even with me and my brother neglecting to check the oil much of the time, and the only things that have gone wrong are one or two loose bits of trim.

It is good in corners, for the era the chassis is very good. Especially for what it is, a rational comfy family hauler.

I'm sorry to hear about the engine. My 406 (coupe) has a 2.0 as well. I know from experience on the German Autobahn this year mine does rev until the limiter, also when the speed is over 200 km/h. It's only got 192k km on it now though, yours might be a bit more worn.

Lucky you, I see Fiat did some amazing progress in ten years. My father's first gen failed hard at everything except rustproofing.
